Takin it back (a few decades)

We had a delightful luncheon on Friday after clinic.  We met and listened to some veteran Dental Hygiene graduates wax nostalgic about their time here as students.  What was impressed upon me the most, as it was something I had never thought of, was the struggle the ladies faced every day to be respected and treated fairly in a male-centric field of study.  Being that I have never had to live through an era like that, it is something that I and the younger generation could not appreciate as much as those who have "been there."  That was a very eye-opening thought for me.  So THANK YOU, VCU DH Alumni, for paving the way for future generations of up and coming Dental Hygienists!
